The Classic & Historic Team

Robin Lawton has been head of the Classic & Historic Division since 1995 and has been involved in the motor trade for 40 years. Previously Robin ran his own business, for many years specialising in sports and classic cars. With a lifelong enthusiasm for all things automotive, he bought his first Vintage car at the age of 15. Robin currently owns a 1933 Riley Lynx which is regularly campaigned in a variety of events.

He is assisted by Operations Manager, Peter Bourne, who joined the Division at the beginning of 2000 having gained six years auction experience at BCA. Peter came to BCA from the motorcycle trade, with experience in sales and workshop management. Like Robin, he has been involved with all things automotive from an early age and owns a small collection of Norton and BSA motorcycles.
